Repeat After Me

Repeat After Me

What is the best lesson your parents modeled for you?

My father taught me that I have rise up to where he is and that he is not going to come down to where I was. What does this mean? My father has a standard regarding his vocabulary. When we were younger he would often use words that we did not know the meaning of. We would often has to ask: what does that mean? He always obliged, teaching us a new word and its meaning. He would often use the word again throughout the days following his lesson to make sure we had the word locked in. The two lessons I vividly remember are the words rhetorical and facetious.

My father still does this to this day and recently taught my nephews and niece the word debacle. He was pretty upset when used the word but we all got the point! 🤪

What was one the lesson your parents or parental figures taught you?

Is this a lesson you would pass down to your children? Nieces? Nephews?

Do you agree with the way you were taught the lesson?
